Automatic Repair couldn't repair my PC after RAM upgrade

So I just bought an 8GB RAM stick from ADATA to replace my old 4GB stick and now whenever I turn my PC on my computer boots up saying Preparing Automatic Repair.

If I want to continue to Windows without repairing , it reboots saying the same thing.

I have left a screenshot below.

Please respond fast.

Not sure what could have caused Windows to freak out like that if you just changed out RAM. Strange. Either way, I'd try putting back in the old stick and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, see if anything under advanced options may work.

Have you tried putting the old stick back in?

Is the boot order in the BIOS still correct? (It could be trying to boot to a different drive, had that problem once).

have you done a CMOS reset?

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Spoiler

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

Windows 10 is so buggy, everytime I install a new graphics card, it BSODs. I even uninstalled the graphics drivers everytime but oh well. Shit Happens. Windows 7 or 8.1 never did this to me. But I take that it Blue Screened because of the bugs in Windows 10.

Tried putting the old stick back. still not working.

I have also checked to see if my mother oard and processor support the memory , and they do.

No , I have not done a CMOS reset. And I don't know how to do it.

The boot order is the same. When I go into the BIOS it does recognise the memory.

Can you explain to me what a CMOS reset is , how it can fix my problem and how to do it?

there should be a button on the back panel of ur MB, or it might be on the MB itself. The rest should reset any changes u've made in BIOS to their defaults.  You might want to consider a bios update too.

work rig

cpu: AMD 5800X mb: Pro WS X570-ACE cooling: NH-D15 ram: 32GB Corsair 3200mhz ssd: Samsung 970 Pro 512GB, 860 Evo 512GB   hdd: 4TB Seagate, 320GB gpu: Asus RTX-1060 6GB psu: Corsair RM750x display: Philips 32" 4K case: Fractal Design Define R6 Black

home lab and NAS

cpu: Xeon E5-2697 v2 (12c/24t) mb: Rampage 4 Black Edition cooling: Hyper 212 EVO ram: 64GB Corsair 1866mhz ssd: 2x Intel DC S4610 (480GB), 2x Intel DC P3605 (1.6 TB)  hdd: 4x Seagate IronWolf 4TB CMR, Seagate Exos 7E8 8TB, WD VelociRaptor 10K 450GB  gpu: Asus GTX-660 psu: Corsair HX850i case: Corsair 750D

yeah, reset to default is close enough, just the reset CMOS is more, lets say, comprehensive.

for the update you will need to check if ur mb supports flashing of the bios, then u will need to find the correct version of the update file on the manufactures website and u will need a USB stick (and a bible becuase the update can go poos)
