AVG Online Shield Service Memory Hog

x6tr2ni

I recently started to notice a lot more memory usage by AVG even though I haven't been doing anything out of the oridnary. At this very moment, AVG shield is using up 2,193,816K worth of memory, not to mention the other avg services. In comparsion, my browser is using around 1,817,924K, but that is with like well over 30 tabs opened and having not restarted my browser for days, which would usually drop it down to 400,000K. AVG shield has always used quite a bit of memory, but it usually evens out at around 300,000K.

I haven't noticed anything being sluggish due to this, but I am curious as to why it is using so much and if AVG Online Shield is even nescessary.

This was a bug fix in the 2014 edition, I recommend trying that out.  Also try resetting all settings to default and scanning your computer.

Comodo is great, but I hate being so restricted by its components (constantly creating exclusions, Antivirus failing to remove things, HIPS annoying me, sandbox sandboxing safe things) its the most frustrating thing for me xD
