So I'm planning my build, I have the case and PSU but I'd like help knowing if I should get an R7 260 or save money and get an R7 250X (Since they are $50 around me.).

CPU is being shipped, here are parts.

Core i3 6100, 12GB DDR4, Stock cooler, Arctic Silver 5, 500 watt EVGA 80+ certified, AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB GDDR5, Deepcool Tesseract SW Blue, 2TB WD Caviar Green, WD Blue 500GB, WD Caviar Blue 250GB.

Note: My friend is letting me borrow their 360

Laptop specs:

CPU: Core i7 3630QM

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT630M

RAM: 16gb of unknown origin

Storage: 1tb HDD (probably going to upgrade to an SSD at some point)

Mouse: Corsair M65 Pro RGB

RX 460 would be good GPU for this build, or a RX 470. depends on what you can get for how much money and whats on the used market if you are willing to get a used GPU

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

I'd rather get something from the 200 series because I can get brand new 260 for $89 and brand new 250X for $67.

your r7 360 is just a rebranded r7 260, no point getting the older gpu.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

You think you're getting value for your money when you're actually paying for performance that isn't there.

Here's an RX 460 2GB for $89($99-$10 rebate) that will run circles around those cards.

Well if your not keeping it, I would get ~gtx 750/260x for a optimal gaming experience

Anything lower is just horrible imo

Those are too much, I really don't need anything super high end I just need something that can play CS:GO, Terraria, and a bunch of my old PC games.

That would be overkill for what I do though.

not really, you say you want to play CS:GO and my 750TI stuggled at 1080p low sometimes. if you ever want to play a more demanding game the GPUs you are looking at will be pretty terrible. those GPUs are what i would put in a office PC that needed more screen outputs

Nobody is listening when I say I don't need a fucking 770 for playing games, I only need like a R7 250 or something.
