Hey, I currently own an Intel Core i7-3770k at stock settings with a stock cooler. I run in with two GTX 980's in SLI and therefore i wondered why i was dropping down to 100ish fps in CS:GO while getting closer to 200 in BF1 Ultra. I started investigating and noticed that my temps were extremely high, like 100c high. Any way to lower my temps? I dont have any OC but I do have the stock cooler on. Please help!

Hyper 212 EVO, or Cryorig H7 (H7 comes with free paste and is excellent).

The cheaper route, blow out the system and put some new paste on. If the heatsink is full of dust it won't be dissipating much heat, stock coolers are pretty sub-par to begin with.

ok sorry for the humour, but whats hot 100c. run cpu-z and gpu-z and tell me what part is 100c.

he said CPU

"May your frame rates be high and your temperatures low"

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.

Go into the BIOS and make all the voltage settings are on auto, also what temperature monitoring program are you using?

I was in my bios yesterday, saw my voltages seemed waaaaay too high even though i reset them? What are the recommended voltage settings using this cpu?

You can check voltage by putting it under load with Cinebench and monitoring it with CPU-z.

You can backup your current BIOS settings by making a profile and saving it, then reset to optimized defaults and save that to another one and save and quit that will put everything back to stock. If you buy a $30 cooler you can look up some overclocking guides and get some more performance out of it.
