GTX 580 problems

i had a hd 7790 and i had stuttering with it and then i just bought a gtx 580 because i got a good price on it and i still get stuttering and i dont know why and i have just replaced my power supply to a hx 750, ram to vengeance pro 8gb and a new hard drive and my motherboard is an asua m5a99x evo 22.0 and an fx 6300 with a hyper 212 evo. and if there is any other needed info just ask me

Did you uninstall the AMD Catalyst drivers and installed the new NVIDIA drivers?

i just did that and i have the 331.58 nvidia drivers

try using CCleaner in safe mode and completely wiping everything amd driver related, then uninstall and reinstall to latest WHQL drivers

Use this to fully uninstall the AMD drivers and see your core clock and speed with this. What game are you playing that gives you stuttering?

i use msi after burner and i was playing black ops 2 and battlefield 3

What settings are you using? The stuttering might be screen tear since V-Sync might be off.

In the NVIDIA drivers, try using Adaptive V-sync if you aren't already.

i run battlefield 3 at ultra with v-sync on

In the 3D settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel, scroll all the way down in Global Settings, you'll see a setting for V-sync. Click the drop down arrow and select Adaptive V-sync. And then click Apply.

I am confused. You have both cards installed?

 

 

Remove all drivers for graphics and install just the Nvidia ones. Then stress test and see if everything is golden. 

 

I suspect the reason you got a good price on the 580 is that it is possibly flawed.

you should do a clean install of windows, but before that format the drive correctly or run dban, make sure your oc is more than just prime 95 stable on  your 6300 and turn off vsync and try other games

What are the temperatures of your gpu and cpu when gaming?

its not a problem with overheating and both of them stay cool, but the 580 does ocource get hotter but it doesnt go over like 75 celeis

Sounds to me like a driver issue, nothing else comes to mind at this point....

Are you using beta drivers or the main one? Have you tried reinstalling older versions?
