This guy on ebay is selling TWO TITANS FOR 500$ ( £400 give or take )

This seems like a complete bargain. I don't have a watercooling loop but I could just get replacements.

Should I buy them? It seems kind of cheap, surely that's for a reason? Would EVGA cover the warranty if it fails ?

There have been a lot of "Titan" cards... Titan Z... Titan X... new Titan X... etc.

Be very sure which one it is.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Ok first of all what generation of Titan? Is this a titan black? a Titan Z? Titan X?

The original Titan is selling for $275 all over the place. So not really a great deal if its the original...

So think 980 Ti on steroids... which aren't so different from the 1070 to be honest, so that does seem like a good deal, but not an astronomically good one imo. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Two Titan XMs are well worth 500. SLI and they should be around an XP performance wise...

Well that works out as $250 for one... for what is basically 1070 performance, used, that seems good, yes, but not shockingly amazing.

Well in the states the Titan x still sells for 600 for just one. $250 is original titan used selling price. I'd easily pay $509 for two. I'd buy four at that price.

Also when you go to sell a card on eBay, when you click Titan, only the x pops up. So for ease of making the add people click it and put a high price. People that don't know better will buy it. As its part of ebays site and can't be changed you may not be able to get a refund as the seller didn't lie, technically. Smart really.

Well the picture alone would help. Even if you put the exact model number in the description area, some aren't smart enough to comprehend. They see an x in the title and just go from there.

If you were to put the exact model number in the description and the title was labeled as a Titan x and you bought it and tried to fight it, I'm pretty sure you'd lose. So "in writing" can only go so far.

I can only judge value based on what they should cost, not what they actually cost.  Perhaps viewed another way, the deal is even more appealing.

But yes as others have said, make sure they are actually Maxwell Titan Xs and make sure it's real xD

I'd look at it the way I explained in my previous posts.

Consider this hypothetical situation:

Card X sells for $500 new

some time passes and the company releases Card Y with the same performance as Card X and it costs $300

suppose the stores in this situation behave as illogically as they seem to in real life and continue selling Card X for close to $500

Someone puts up a used Card X for sale.  Now, should they be selling for $500 - some amount because it's used, or $300 - some amount because it's used? ;)

So a thousand dollar card for 600-700 being only 1 gen old isn't worth it. And a 7 series Titan for 200-300 isn't where they should be?

It is a good deal.. that's why I said it's a good deal :P

But it's not anything to jump out of your seat over imo... it's not like they're selling for $100 each or something insane.
