ASUS, MSI, Sager, Razer but please not Alineware. It's like Bestbuy of computer shop

Razer nope. Definitely not Asus if you have a choice. MSI is almost as expensive as Alienware. Alienware is the most expensive. CLEVO (not sager), is the most value.

The picture is wrong. Amazon is known to fuck it up sometimes. If it is SOLD by Amazon, there is no harm in buying it as you can simply refund it its not. If it's sold by a 3rd party NOPE.

Well I mean I did plenty of research and Asus laptops got great reviews and were well priced. Everyone else seems to think so too

Sure warranty broken when u swap a drive location

locked down bios with secure flash

terrible customer service

poor structure design requiring complete disassembly to access core components

locked firmware with overzealous voltage regulators preventing full usage of components like 6820HK

stupid ass "watercooled" laptops designs

etc.

Damn that research was plentiful. When you're comparing high end laptops. Asus is the second worse. The worst is Razer. Acer is somewhere along with Asus.

1,  why would you try to edit the bios of a laptop, 2, why would you overvolt a laptop 3, why would you overclock a laptop. It's a laptop. Give me 3 good companies. You said no to Asus, Alienware, MSI, and Acer

Cause some things are fucking broken at stock. plenty of haswell CPUs would downlock or lock up for no reason. Can't fix that on a secure flash laptop.  Why not OC a laptop LOL. If its available with additional headroom why the fuck not. You guys are treating gaming laptops like danky things that should be at thermal limits and throttle to life.

MSI is actually very good (just expensive). Some of their new models like 16l13 are great and Svet are has made custom bios' for them.

Alienware has two distinct advantages. Unparalleled battery life and AG.

Alienware is competitive with its pricing and http://www.laptopmag.com/ rated Dell as #2

Just something to consider when buying a new laptop. This is not a tower where you can do 90% of the things yourself.

Alienware is priced where they feel people will buy them. It's "competitive" but much higher than the market. For example, an AW 6820HK + 1070 costs 2700 dollars, whereas on a Clevo it costs 1700 dollars. Literally a thousand dollar difference. For that money you can build a desktop AND buy a laptop. Laptopmag is essentially useless. Yes Dell customer service is good, but the other criteria are essentially useless. Each manufacturer has it's good and bad models. That's why forums exist so people can ask and find out which those models are. A blanket statement that Dell is good isn't true.

Very true. But there's some varying degrees of flexibility. For a desktop replacement, it's literally like a desktop where every part can be changed (cept the chassis). For a enthusiast gaming laptop you can swap out everything cept the CPU and GPU. On Razer and Macs you can't swap out shit cept for that 1 M2 drive cause fuck you.
