HI guys! my mac has a Intel HD graphics 6000 1.5 gb. I would like to know what graphics card it's performance it's similar to. I heard it's similar to the 650 M as in graphics performance. Is this true? Also, I'm planning to get COD4 Remastered or COD4, and Paladins Will my mac run it? Thanks!

EDIT: Ok, my downloads have just finished and I tried running it with all settings disabled/lowered to the lowest setting, but it still goes over 100C D:

Hard to know exactly where it would fit in compared to a GPU, but off the top of my head, somewhere around an old HD 4XXX or GTX 2XX. It will run the original COD 4 fine (Have a mac with HD 5000 running it), probably not remastered though. Dont know about Paladins Will, check if there is an OSX version.

I'm fine with the remastered but I really would like to run Paladins because I need to wait a few days before I can get my steam card. It can run, but the temps are very high. 90-104C

maybe it comes, cod4 is on osx so maybe, but right now just pc ps4 xbone

I checked and COD4 is compatible with OSX, and I've played it around a year or two back, but deleted it because I found out it was cracked, and multiplayer didn't work.

It does run it? 90-104C is not normal, this will shorten the life of CPU. I'm more surprised it isnt thermal throttling. What are you running it on? Mac air or pro? You can get notebook cooler which might help slightly, but the way the cooler is designed on the pro, it will help it more.

Lol get Overwatch instead of Paladins. Paladins is a COMPLETES tip off of Overwatch with shitty graphics and way less refinement.

I'm on a Mac air early 2015, and it's hardware specs are I5-5250U, Intel HD graphics 6000 and 8 gb of ram with 120 gb pci-e SSD (school mac) and I don't have a PC.

Welp, I don't have a PC and I sure do LOVE Overwatch, but I thought 1. It's overpriced because of the PC price & the actual game cost and 2. OSX can't run it and I'm pretty far away from building my PC (around a few months)

As I said, it may run now, but this will shorten the CPU's life span. This is very hot for a CPU and this isnt what they are designed to do. My only suggestion is to buy a laptop cooler, but it probably wont help much given the position of the fans/vents on mac air.

The Air doesn't have the cooling for playing games. You have to invest in aiding the cooling, or just don't game until you can build a gaming rig. The MacBook Air is an ultraportable made for productivity on the go.

Oh, and deduct about 33% of performance if you want to run a game on OS X because of the poor OpenGL implementation in OS X/macOS.

Ok, I'll try to get a laptop cooler. Thanks!

Yeah, that's why I was worrying about my mac's life. I usually play games that aren't too stressful, maybe 85-90 as max (yes, this is high but macs do turbo boost up to that temp). I'll try to get a laptop cooler. Thanks!
