Which is better CPU APU Series

Go to solution Solved by Darel321,

A10-7890K and Athlon X4 880K are the same thing... the differenci is the apu that have a gpu inside... thats all.. architecture are identical soo if you want to have a computer without dedicated gpu buy the apu if not get the athlon...

Good day,

I've been reading about AMD Processors specifically in APU Series.

Which is better?

A10-7890K or Athlon X4 880K (Godavari).

is it like, more benefits that could have?

does a10 outweighs Athlon X4 or what?

since i was reading it, I become to be skeptical of what i'd read about...

A10 has better graphics capabilities, the Athlon has better CPU capabilities.

Basically, if you're gonna get a GPU better than the R7 250/260 or so, go for the Athlon.

Actually i had A10-7860k and r9 390X like for the whole time already heheh... i also realise that.. i should have had bought Athlon X4 in the first place. Just a quick thing, what about the features of Athlon X4 880K. Does it support latest API's like VULCAN, Directx12, then mantle and OpenGL and OpenCL?

It supports all mentioned API's IIRC. Last time I read about it though, Mantle only helped with lower end GPU's (and the last time I remember hearing about it was on BF4, I think AMD switched to Vulcan and DX12)
