No. No. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If that PSU blows up (what doesn't nowadays kek) it'll damage all the other components. Don't gamble. Those 40$ you'll spend on a decent PSU will save you from potential hundreds if the PSU blows.

Where did this come from? You can always try it and hope it works. It not gonna hurt your system if there is a problem.

Its fine. If it fails it will just shut off.

if it fails it can either shut off, or send 300 volts straight into your mobo.

if you think a power supply always fails safely, i have a power supply in the clouset i want you to touch when it's plugged in.

it says,
the EL products are either the trademarks or the registered trademarks of the www.emerald-luster.com

any unauthorized use of EL may violate copyrights las, trademark laws, and communications regulations and relevant statutes.

therefore, purchased or distributed products under the trademark EL detected as fake and infringed products; Emerald Luster will reserve the right of lodging civil and/or criminal complaint against the traders of the products and the offenders are to compensate the loss and damage imposed on Emerald Luster.

apparently, this announcement is dedicated as information to all consumers and dealers and traders of products and they are obliged to undertake all responsibilities and legal consequences.

It can't do that due to how the transformers work.

but it can set your mobo on fire. i've seen one go charcoal not overly long ago, and this chinese garbage is usually full of stuff that'd make you run away in fear.

besides, all you need to damage your mobo is a few tens of volts in the wrong place, and you're in a cloud of smoke. a well designed power supply will fail safely 99.99999 (repeating) % of the time, chinese garbage is usually the kind of stuff that makes housefires. i've had two chinese wattmeters going charcoal in a month time, if they cant get an enclosed device right, god only knows the horrors that are going to be caused by that box.

beyond that, if it does not go boom, chances are it's either out of ATX voltage spec, or just so barely within no sane person would run it anyways. and i honestly wouldnt be surprised if it's a ripple nightmare.
