GTX 1070 square artifacts.

pippu

Hello, I have a EVGA GTX 1070, and i get these weird square artifacts. Also the computer freezes for a couple seconds when changing windows, screen goes black and comes back(does not happen always).

Since video tells you a lot more than words, you should watch these.

Desktop and youtube:

Square artifacts allover screen.

csgo bluescreen:

Screen going black couple times and then bluescreens.

csgo:

The last video ens in Windows saying that csgo does not have rights to use the graphics card. The game does not crash, but it minimizes and does not come back.

I have uninstalled the drivers and tried older drivers, no difference. This started happening like 1 hour ago, everything worked fine before that.

This happend me a couple times with my GTX 770 aswell, rebooting worked back then.

Spces

EVGA GTX 1070 SC

i7 4790k

16gb ddr3

Asus-Z97-A

Seasonic 660-xp2

I have not overclocked anything.

I had similar artifacts when I tried to overclock my card a little too far. Try setting the power mode in nvidia control panel to maximum performance and see what happens.

It could be that the ram is bad as well.

Well, now there are less artifacts, but there are still a lot of them, especially over videos.

The GPU is factory overclocked, GPU temps are 45-50°C, CPU is under 40°C. Cant get to any games right now, but both GPU and CPU are under 80°C when gaming.

Okay, that seems to be okay. Do you have any other ram you can use to test?

so there is an issue with the clocks or the power the card is getting. have you tried setting(forcing)  everything at stock speeds with evga precision?

I will remove the GPU from the system and try the integrated graphics.

EDIT: Everything works fine with integrated GPU.

So the problem is with the GPU.
