Multi Vendor GPU (SLI / Crossfire) - worth it?

Hello everyone,

 

I was just wondering, is it worth it to use e.g. a NVIDIA GTX 1080 with an AMD RX 480 in Multi GPU Mode?

It should work and increase the Performance with DX12 and Vulcan but is it worth it?

 

I could not find any usefull Benchmarks or tests for this

to put the gtx 1080 and the rx 480 in sli. hmm.. it might be possible but i never saw someone try to do it, it might increase performance (if it works and i have no guarantee it will) but the increase would be minor i would recommend to stick with the same vendor

the only game that works with cross vendor adapters is Ashes of the singulariy, but only in explicit mode - meaning no SLI and no CFX
