I am having overheating issues(?) with my current PC. My rig is setup as follows: Crosshair V Formula-Z, AMD FX9590 Socket 942, Corsair H100i V2 (CPU fan), two(2) XFX RX480 8gb, ElGato HD 60pro (installed, not using), four(4) 8gb(32gb) DDR3 1866hz Corsair Vengeance RAM, 256gb Sandisk Z400s SSD (OS), 2tb Seagate Barracuda (st2000dm001), Samsung 500gb (st500lm012), 1000w Rosewill Hive PSU, Raidmax Narwhal ATX-920WB with five(5) Needcool G1(I) series cooling fans connected to chassis front intake: CHA_FAN2, H100i (piggyback), & radiator fans exhaust: OPT_FAN2 (chassis), CPU_OPT, H100i (piggyback). Two(2) Scepre E205w-1600 monitors, one(1) HDMI, one(1)DVI.

I am a PS4 gamer but I realize the components I have & how much power/heat they all create. My real concern is the overheating after 30 min to 1 hr of play time for the more strenuous games that have released over the last few years: mainly Killer Instinct, Street Fighter V & most recently Mafia 3. I did not experience any overheating while playing either Tomb Raider titles & Batman Arkham Origins/Knight! Other than 50 min on & 10 min off, what can I do to reduce the overheating or increase airflow? I am willing to downgrade to the FX8370 but I am trying to configure a rig that will last 3-5 years without ANY more modifications or money being spent.

I am aware of the TurboV EVO Auto System Level Up overclock that ROG has provided as well as other software advantages. I do not want to overclock anything due to my rig being able to easily handle any current titles including being VR ready (in case).  Idle temperature is between 47-54 degrees, but once I get the overheat warning at 65 degrees, I break for a cool down. I have only run the benchmarking utilities that are included in both Tomb Raider titles & am not impressed with the results, especially after seeing scores for the Scrapyard Wars videos! I have not done the best job with cable management either, no extension cables have been purchased nor has any super dedication gone into cables appearing elusive. Thank you for being any tye of help you can provide & being awesome at everything you & all there accomplish!

It is normal, the FX-9590 is a hot (literally though) CPU! As for the results' you are bottlenecking your GPU with that AMD CPU, but not much

what FREE test do you reccomend ?

AIDA64 has a free trial. That'll be sufficient.
