Just wanted to know how many fan headers the Asus Z170-a motherboard has.

1 x Water Pump header (4-pin)
4 x Chassis Fan connectors (4-pin) for both 3-pin(DC mode) and 4-pin (PWM mode) coolers control

It has 1 CPU header. 1 CPU optional header. 1 Water pump header. 4 case fan headers. Realistically though these are all the same, they just have different default behaviors/fancurves set in the BIOS.

 

Basically 7 PWM fans headers on the board total.

 

But for real, go to the Asus website, type in Z170-A in the search bar click on the specification page, scroll down until you find this information. I happen to know this infomration offhand because I own this board in my system, but anyone else would have to do those steps for you in order to tell you the answer you need. don't be lazy and just go look yourself.

No, it is 6 fan headers with 1 pump header which runs at 100%.

Total of 7, only 6 controllable.

...wait what? Doesn't look like it (finally went and read the specs)
