ive had a problem for months and before i buy anything i need to know what to buy and whether or not its just bad luck

i7 has a stuttering problem

phenom 2 doesnt

the ram i have came from that phenom 2 computer, so is it possible its the only one actually compatible with that ram (even though all the other boards and cpus ive used never had an incompatibility error) or that the storage is too slow causing the i7 to stutter, or theres something wrong with the i7?

it's strange because it stutters more sometimes and sometimes it doesnt at all. some games don't do it for what ive noticed, but TF2 has this problem almost cancerously.

and before you ask, i tried everything software side afaik

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.

ive tried other ram and it was persistent through the other stick, but this stick was in the other computer the phenom came in (i bought it a year ago just to keep it running since i obviously took the ram out of it)

two fx-6300's died before but i think it was just shitty silicon

Run memtest on the ram.

Try reinstalling the game.

Or see if your drive is at 100% when the stuttering happens.

I really doubt that the cpu is the issue.

ive ran memory tests and nothing

4+ different windows installs

no way of actually seeing if its at 100% since the other screens freeze too i think and my pc is perpendicular relative

when people are asking for help, there's always that one guy in the replies that thinks he's a pvt. joker.

No idea what "perpendicular relative" is, but if you have other screens that freeze as well, it could be an overheating issue, gpu driver issue, or a psu issue.

it's not overheating, ive tried different gpus and even brands, and it COULD be the PSU but its seasonic based and i dont have another to test.

it means it's 90 degrees sideways.

or theres something wrong with the i7?

If their was something wrong with the i7 it likely would just crash

Are their any differences in software you have now such as OS version (for instance anniversary update), did you recently change drivers setting etc, has the gpu remained the same, btw the 100% thing is possible to check in windowed mode and something like MSI afterburner

side note If your playing at an unlimited frame rate (ie no vsync gsync or frame cap) you may want to stop to see if the issue goes away as a result

Well...WD Caviar Green as OS drive?

Probably the cause, 5400 / 5900 RPM HDD with variable speed (can go lower) depending on load.

What storage drive is your Phenom II system using?

Usually when people say they have "tried everything" they haven't because it is almost impossible to go through every possible thing that it could be, you are going to get better help if you list out what you have done.

You never answered about the hdd usage, my bet is that the hdd is the issue.
