What describes as Good Twitch Streamer?

Go to solution Solved by Sauron,

They are usually funny, play something I like watching and/or are just a nice person to listen to. At the moment I like watching heroes of the storm, but I have watched a lot of sc2 in the past

Hey guys,

Wanted to get your input on what you like about your favorite Twitch Streamers.

Why do you like them?

What do they so that makes you watch them over other Streamers?

And what are your favorite games to watch?

Thanks

It's any combination of these three things...

-Constantly talking

... If you don't keep your audience always listening, they why would they want to watch?

-Good Audio

... If you don't have a good mic, or good overall sound settings, people will IMMEDIATELY shut off your stream.

-Showing interest in the game

... If you're not trying your damndest to play a game to the best of your ability, or to the point of being entertaining, people will just find someone else to watch play the same exact game.

  •  Pleasant accent & fluent in English. If I'm going to listen to you, you're going to need to speak English well and have a pleasant accent to listen to (English, Scottish, Irish, Scandinavian, all good.) If you have a deep south-style 'Murican accent (or even some Canadian accents) I can't listen to you for more than 5 minutes before wanting to kill you.
  •  Be funny, but not OTT. Humor is good, but not "OMG LOOK AT DIS LOL INNUENDO MEMES LOLOLOL" humor. More subtle, subdued, clever humor.
  • -Be focused on your game or stream, but also pay attention to your viewers and interact with them. Twitch chat exists for a reason. A prime example is the WAN show: Linus focuses on reading news and discussion with Luke but will also do Strawpolls and Twitter Blitzes to interact with his audience.
