Anything better than Hyper X Cloud 2?

I bought the HyperX Cloud 2 less than a year ago. The cable just broke meaning my right ear gets lonely when I move the cable.

So I am deciding between a refund or replacement.

Are there any better gaming headsets WITH mics that since have been released? I mean headsets better than the Cloud 2s. As I understand, the cloud 2 is better than the other headsets that Kingston have released.

It's worth noting I really liked the 7.1 feature on this headset. I didn't feel it was a gimmick at all. These headphones are great. Would like it if there are any headphones with the same, but better features, such as 7.1

i like my cloud 2s more than the headset that replaced them (cloud revolver). but the question is more how much are you willing to spend there is always something better out there :) like the post above is a 200$ headset which is 100$+ more than the cloud 2s?

Within the same price region. Around £70.

My HyperX Cloud 2s were brilliant and almost flawless. I was even cool with the mic quality and build. But I'm wondering if there is a headset out there that has replaced the throne. Gaming headsets aren't usually very good. The Cloud 2s are great. But has there been a new contender or one I missed from before?

The original Clouds? They're cheaper, they sound the same and you won't have to bother with the USB soundcard.

If you really need 7.1 I would recommend going with a free software solution.

Honestly, the HyperX Clouds are the only headset that's worth considering in the sub $100 range.
