Will GTX 1070 handle the 35" predator ultra wide?

RooR

Just as the title states.

i have a msi/corsair 1070 and I want the Acer Predator Z35 35" ultra wide curved monitor.

Will my graphics card be able to run this monitor while gaming? Or should I stick with the 27"  predator ?

Sorry for the poorly constructed post, I am using the voice feature right now.

35 predator ultra wide is 2560x1080

27 predator is 2560x1440

So actually it will do better on 2560x1080.

It's an all in one collaboration between msi and corsair.

And thanks guys. I'm gonna go pick it up now since nobody had anything bad to say

A GTX 1070 will absolutely crush that resolution on the Z35, you should be playing most games at 90+ fps.

It is the 1080 that I am talking about, I worry that it will look like shit on games like dayZ and arma3 but only one way to find out eh?

Actually, mate, they come in a bunch of different flavors, all under one name though :/

Well then.. Just found that out. Tech companies theses days should be more creative with their names. I had rather had their boring catalogue name than these confusing "names". At least I can know something about the product without googling it.

Are you refering to http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/UM.CZ0AA.001 (Z35 model)?

If the answer is yes than my answer is no.

Make sure you buy it at a retailer with a solid return policy (amazon is one example).

If you're looking for an ultra wide for a 1070 there are tons of options for 50% of that models price.

my 2 cents

P.S.

If you're refering to a different model that isn't 3x the price of your GPU ignore this.

How the hell are you getting 45 fps on such a low resolution? Do you have all the advanced settings maxed?

Yes, that is the model I am looking for. The price isn't the issue. The look and g sync are the sellers on this. I most likely will not be playing GTA. At the moment all I really play is Day Z and Arma 3. The occasional Insurgency.
