What is a good Capture card for streaming and recording?

So my friend and I are planning to start streaming and recording. I currently haven't a clue about which capture card to choose from. We both are running 1080P 60Hz so I am looking for a card that can record at 1080P 60fps.

So far I found this but it records only at 30fps.

Does anyone here stream or record? Could you recommend any cards or external units.

Thanks :)

I don't know of anything much better than that. But why do you need to record in 60fps?

[AMD Athlon 64 Mobile 4000+ Socket 754 | Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro nForce3 | OCZ 2GB DDR PC3200 | Sapphire HD 3850 512MB AGP | 850 Evo | Seasonic 430W | Win XP/10]

Both him and I hate watching recorded footage which we need to edit and it's at 30fps

Oh ok, but I think your only option is going to be software recording. Try DXtory

As stated by @Ryan Leech, I think you're only able to software record at 1080p60. Try Dxtory or Fraps.

I record using my 2600k and my 7950

DXtory, using H264 (and fine tuning settings after a few runs...), 1080p 60fps capture to a single 7200rpm 1TB mechanical.

Works a treat, I did it for the same reason, slowing down video without having the choppy video result.

I have hardly any frame loss recording (5 fps non demanding, 10fps in demanding scenes) using 8 threads however 3-8 threads performs the same for me in most titles.

H264 Settings Page http://postimg.org/image/5youj5zr7/

The preset "Ultrafast" is important

Convert to YUV 4:2:0 had to be done for better compatability with video editing programs decoding h264.

The rest are either default or set myself as well.

Give it a try

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
