Hey guys,

Im new to Pc Building so i need help and opinions on if this is a good build

I have a choice of 3 GPU`s either:

Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 750 TI Windforce2 OC 4GB

XFX Radeon RX 460 Core DD 4GB

Asus GeForce GTX 950 Strix 2GB

Parts:

CPU-  AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor

CPU Cooler- Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 74.3 CFM CPU Cooler

Motherboard- Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard

RAM- Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage- Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

GPU- Asus GeForce GTX 950 2GB Video Card

Case- BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU- Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Its a total of around £400 which is the target im going for.

Please tell me if there are parts which are better or parts on my build that is not compatible.

Thanks

The 950 and 460 are really good options.

The 950 is ever so slightly faster but is a bit more expensive.

You decide :3

Edit: Get the 4GB 460 to be more future proof

Please not the FX6300... PCP really needs to remove that so people stop using it.

Basically, i3s beat that chip in almost every game. its not a good choice and you can't upgrade from it.

I'll be back with a build in a minute...

It'll be about the same.

Just now, DisconnectedYT said:

A 950 is a 950, performance wont vary much, just be carefull as a 2GB GPU is not very good in some games

For 1080p its fine. Its once you push above that when you need more then 2GB of VRAM.

*Facepalm*

First of all, its a tri-core with two threads per core. KINDA like hyperthreading, but weaker.

Second, the FX cpus are 4(ish) years old at this point. So they really aren't a viable option for a new build.

And no, its not your fault that you didn't know that I'm just ticked that I still have to say this after so long...

One last question is the stock CPU Cooler fine for this build?

On the i3 yes. You can't really overclock them so unless you're going for a fanless system the stock cooler is fine. A bit loud, but fine.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Lots of people review this saying that this cooler isn't very quiet, fan is loose... etc. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA66Z28H0384

Look at the reviews here.

If you're looking for a cheap CPU cooler, I remember the Arctic Freezer 7 coolers being pretty good. Also the Hyper t4 and Hyper 212 plus/evo are pretty solid. (I use the T4 on my i3 2100 just to keep it quiet. LOVE it)
