Does anyone know if Linus Tech Tips has ever done a video on dual booting? Say if I wanted to have Windows and Linux operating systems.

Just folow the guides on most linux distros. Normally you install windows first, then shrink the partition, installl linux in the empty space and your good.

I'd make a smaller partition to begin with, no point in shrinking later if you can do it before installation. But yeah, that's mostly how it works although you may get some issues if you have some efi features enabled like secure boot.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

You can't really do that during the windows install. Much easier to make it full size and skrink it.

You can't? I thought the installer's partition editor was sufficient for that

During the Windows install, you can delete partitions and click the new button and use custom sizes. Just make a partition for Winblows and one for the Penguin there. Shrinking isn't possible, no. But once a drive needs to be formatted, one might as well just repartition it.
