This really depends on compatibility and the game. If you had a GTX 970 and then added a GTX 780, you wouldn't gain any performance as the cards can not be put in SLI together. If you were to add another GTX 970, then performance could increase, provided your motherboard supports SLI, as well as the game (you'd also need an SLI bridge).

You can look at the specifications page from where you bought it. If you can't find it just provide me with the link and I'll find it for you.

60Hz is 60 FPS cap. So you want more than 60Hz.

And bs like everyone else is saying it has to be the same card and you need an SLI bridge and a PSU with enough wattage to support to GPUs. And that your motherboard supports SLI. Some games support SLI while others don't.

You don't need another 1070 :P you already have plenty of performance for a 1080p monitor. Also, what PSU do you have?

Make you're mind up please :P

I'd make a PSU upgrade your next priority mainly because it's quite a low quality unit if it's green label CX or CS.

What do u mean by green label?

1. What CPU

2. On the side of the PSU it'll say like CS450M or CX450M or whatever.

Yes, if its the same GPU ofcourse. Increase FPS sure, but not much since scaling both SLI and Crossfire aren't perfect (yet).

Scaling will never be perfect because the higher the fps the harder it is to make frames in a shorter amount by of time

thats why Gpus scale better at 4K because the jump from 30 to 60 fps is easier than 80 to 160

Anyone there?

I can't seem to find anywhere how many Hz your monitor has. But for 1080p you should be getting 144Hz ez. So your monitor is most likely 60Hz which means getting another GPU won't do anything for you. If I were you I'd save up and buy a 1440p monitor and then buy another GPU. Make sure the monitor is 144Hz.

Ur right i go check in ncix.com and is max 76hz

You should not SLI. Your 1070 is overkill for 1080p 76hz. You're completely fine for any game at max settings.

If i have 1 gpu and my fps is 60 in any game. And if i buy 1 extra gpu does it increase the fps of the game?

Why didn't you just buy a 1080 direcly instead of buying another 1070 to do SLI?
