Hello.  My brother is wanting to build a PC.  I know that you shouldn't get a bad PSU in your rig.  Anyone know a good PSU under $40-$45?

His build:

1. RX 470s in Canada are double the price of the 950 and my brother has a tight budget.

2. Ok, might look into that also.

You seem to be overpaying in many respects, which means you don't get the best performance for the price. This build has better performance and is $999. It's also got a good PSU. And an SSD.

The build is okay but the case is ugly af and why do people want to spend so little on a motherboard?  The one I have decided is fine and it fits my brothers color scheme.

I asked for a power supply, not a PC build.

Rather that getting a case+PSU combo, you should get a separate case without the PSU. Afterall, the price is being increase with a PoS power supply that you are likely going to  and should throw away anyways. The Deepcool Tesseract may be an option that goes along with a black/red theme. But yes, the Corsair CX450M is a good budget unit for the money.

As for the case being "ugly af", I wouldn't say the Rosewill is any better... Of course, aesthetic is subjective, so I guess there's no point in arguing about it.

I realized that I sent the build before I added a better case in :P
