Hello guys and girls

I wanna start off by saying this is my first time at the forum and don't know if i'm posting in the wrong category or something like that, and i hope one or more of you will be able to sort this uncertainty out with me :-)

So today i got an email, from an email-address that was very familiar - it was mine.

I have my email-account on www.one.com, and here i can click on the name of the person who sends emails to me.

Usualy, when i get spam, it says on the inbox page, that the "sender" is like: "Jennifer Garden", "your boss" or "The Delivery Company" or something like that, but when i click on "the name" of who sent it, it will show the actual email-adress: When i click on "The Delivery Company" it will say (example): spamspam18@megaspam123.com.

But this email i got today said my email when i clicked on "the name" of who sent this mail.

The mail was clearly spam as it said as follows:

Good day!

We are looking for employees working remotely.

My name is Geraldine, I am the personnel manager of a large International company.
Most of the work you can do from home, that is, at a distance.
Salary is $2000-$5300.

If you are interested in this offer, please visit Our site

Good day!

 ----

Where it says Our site was a link i obviously did not click, and deleted from here so noone would...

What "scares" me is that it says it's myself that has sent it, and i've never experienced this before.

Is there anything to worry about, or anything i should do?

Sorry for the long post, i just wanted to include all specifics.

Sincerely

STFR

change your password and logout on all devices, and if possible, ban the IP address

+1 on this. Choose a new secure password and look into 2 factor authentication.

Edit: Chances are this was sent to all your contacts too.

I edit my posts a lot.

What is Phishing, n00bmlg?

Phishing is when someone sends an email that looks official and looks like it came from someone they know or trust, this can be used to install malware, get account or credit card information, and other things. It sounds like someone got onto your account and sent out phishing emails

i see, but as i didn't click the link, should there as such be something i should be worrying about?

Obviously it's not exactly calming that something knew my log-in information, but still, should i be worried about malware as of now?

No, as long as you didn't click the link
