Hi my Name is Stefan and i live in Denmark.

Maybe not many know but here life is kind expansive so most of us young people, they find themself to share a room for a better price.

Long short version, is that i got to work my night shift as my room mate has day shift, but sometimes i have free days, and in the night, i can't really sleep so i loose myself in the World of Azeroth.

Well here comes the problem, well my roomate don't like noises, not even keyboard clapping or mouse clicking, but the principal reason is the nose of my pc.

So i come in desperate way to ask you for some changes to do, to my pc so i can reduce noise to almost nothing.

I will let here my build list, and many regards.

Grab some NF-F12's and replace all the fans in there.

SSD is completely silent so i'd put one of those in there

(Depending what keyboard) - get some dampeners

...Tell your room mate to get some earplugs.

Also there are some cases you can buy with noise dampening foam on the inside of the case. I only know of the p400 silent edition by phanteks but there are others. Also a 240mm aio will be "possible" be quieter than a 120 if your worried about thermals at all as it will alow much lower fan speeds to achieve desired cpu temps.

Thank Allot for the fast replay, i will optimize the pc .As for the ear plugs "has sensible" ears so yes, i think i will stick with the spending money on pc, and eventualy if that is not good enought a plastic bag, you never know when you need one, and sorry for my english mistakes.

I was thinking at CPU cooler 2, maybe there is any other option to achive same temps but fan not liquid? if not i will stick with the option you are offering me

Thanks once again for all the help.

How many case fans do you have? You don't need them. Put the radiator on rear or top as exhaust, and get a nice quality fan for it, and run it low rpm. No other fan is necessary. Even if temps are higher, if its under 85C youre fine, do it for roommate.

If you really want, then get a second fan on intake so you have positive pressure.

Another options is to get a noise dampened case. But you did not state your budget I'm assuming its low.

If the HDD noise is an issue, you may want to consider an SSD. Or decouple the drive and see if the noise level improves. It doesn't always make a difference.

There are quiet keyboards, usually non mechanical ones. As for mouse click, I'm not sure what you can do about that one, as ive never seen a truly silent mouse.

There is non, i removed the only one fan that i had on this case, the only one left is the one from the cpu cooler.

The radiator is mounted on the rear as on top have no place to mount it and as the temps if it goes over the 80 my pc start allready to feel the burn and moves with delay so i can't risk what you say.

I was thinking to change cpu cooler and eventualy a dampened case, but there are so many option that i don't know how to consider them, for cpu cooler i was thinking a Noctua Nh-14 as it as low db noise,  and as a case

Corsair Carbide Series 330R Titanium Edition Ultra-Silent Mid Tower Computer Chassis with Integrated Fan Controller

If there are other Option for case and Cpu Cooler, I will wait for the feedback.

And the budget is like arround 200 Euro but this is as maximum price because i prefer spending this money on something els not noise improvement upgrade. But what can i say c'e la vie.

Heat does not affect the CPU performance unless it was thermal throttling, but I do not know of a CPU that throttles at 80C. If you are feeling delay it is because the cpu load is maxed out, not temps.

Dampening case will not do much, since sound usually escapes the most out of vents and fan openings. This is why sound isolating cases have ventilation that is indirect, usually in the form of little slits on the sides.

The NH-D14 is overkill and changing out the case doesn't make that much difference in lowering the noise.

What you should be doing is dealing with the components that are too loud.

Replacing the fans, suspending the sshd with elastics or foam molds, and setting a custom fan curve for the graphics card with software like Msi Afterburner should help.

If the psu also isn't quiet enough, replacing that is an option.
