something like this

Replace that PSU... CX much? I'd go for the RX470, since it's only 1080p and only CSGO, and then get the 6600k and a Z170 board.

Little overkill, but it would run CSGO and practically all other games at 1080p Ultra.

cx is fine.

Only the new ones. The CX 500 is awful, as it uses bad caps and can't output it's full wattage at higher than 30 degrees C, whereas any decent PSU is fine up to around 50 or 60.

Nothing wrong with going overkill and giving him the opportunity to max out anything he might want to try

It'll also last longer. Whereas with a more lenient build he might have to upgrade within a year or 2

Sorry but I have 60hz monitor

more fps=less input lag in the sense that you're shaving a few milliseconds off every time a new scene is displayed as it's able to pick the newest, most upto date render (or a more upto date render) :P

1080p 120hz master race ;) (come on, it was like 100 pounds new 2 years ago as it sat in a warehouse for 6 years or smth)

...I'm currently rocking a RX470 after my dual 290Xs died so...it's like 130-150watts power consumption (rx470) vs your 150-175watts 760 :P
