Hi.

I need a need processor for my pc but i'm not sure which one I should buy.

I've asked before about i7 5930k vs 5820k vs 6700k vs 6800k, and many was said i7 6700k or 6800k.

I'm not sure which one i should get so I hope that you can help me.

I'm mostly gaming and video editing, but 90% is gaming.

My plan in the future is maybe to video editing in adobe premiere pro cc but i'm not sure yet.

i'm also looking for a good cooler to the processor, so maybe have some suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Unless you make money off your videos (enough to pay for the computer), the additional price of an LGA 2011 processor and motherboard isn't worth it, it can only make rendering a bit faster.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

So you think the 6700k is the best choice.

Because I was a little in doubt if it should be the 6700k or 6800k.

Are you willing to pay $250 more (between CPU and mobo) for slightly worse gaming performance and slightly better render times on your videos?

If yes, 6800K

5820k would be the real bang for the buck x99 wise.

@kelvinhall05 As others have stated, the 6700k is going to be more than enough.

Don't forget the extra RAM requirement as well.  If OP goes x99, he should buy 4 stick minimum if he intends to run the platform as designed.  Last time I checked, two sticks does just fine on z170.

Sure you can run x99 in dual channel, but while the hell would anyone buy an enthusiast level platform just to take short cuts.
