I would go for the pentium build, get rid of the 212 evo

It will be MUCH easier to upgrade the pentium but the 860k does have its performance higher than the pentium

I guess if you won't upgrade for a while go for the 860k

why 212 evo and carbide 400r for a budget build? you can get a cheaper case and use the stock cooler and use the money on a better gpu/cpu.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Why Because Quad core??

Yes. And it has better multithreaded performance, the g3258 is an overclocking toy used as a placeholder for an i5/i7.

I wouldn't get rid of the cooler. Both of these build can be overclocked, and that is the only thing that makes the pentium alright is when it is at 5GHz.

that case is $100 on newegg, just get something like a deepcool tesseract and spend the money on an i3.

get an i3 6100 instead of the 860k. much better performance for the premium your paying.
