can you mount a card sideways?

I have a Asus gtx 1060 GPU, Asus z170s mobo, and NZXT H440 cause. 

Is it possible to mouth the card sideways?

Plus something to physically hold the card in the new position; the case won't be built for that.

uhh the pcie slot yes you can simply use a PCI slot extender but the harder thing is the IO cover on the back, normally it screws into a slot on the case so unless your case has a vertical slot (mine does) then you would have to leave it hangin

yeah just make sure its will supported and you dont let one corner of the card hold all the weight because that would damage things
