HI guys, next week I plan to buy new power supply and I already have 2 options. I'm gonna buy from these two, but I can't decide which one to choose. So I wanna hear your opinions. :)

 

The first one: XFX - Well, it's oem is well known Seasonic, which means it's high quality, plus it has hybrid mode of fan and is fully modular.

Second one: FSP - It's a FSP itself, one of the leaders in power supply manufacturers, also very high quality psu, but it's not fully modular and I think it doesn't have hybrid mode?

XFX is known for  great PSUs you should go with XFX. you should also check out seasonic and corsair rm series

I can not say anything of FSp because it is the first time I heard of that company

XFX is what I use and they haven't let me down yet. (4+ yrs of constant use) I haven't heard of FSP before so can't really comment on them. What setup are you using this for? You probably don't need 1000w

i9 25.6 GHz with NeuronThreading, 256gb 6000 MHz RAM, GTX 990 OC 3024MHz 12gb, Skeletal X99 motherboard, 1 Petabyte SSD, Fractal Design Humaniod R1 Case, Herbivore 10,000W PSU, Noctua NF16 LP Derma Cooler.

Probably the only Star Citizen player who is planning on a career in Journalism instead of piracy, mining, trading, exploration, military, station management, etc.

Generation 0: The first time you see this add 1 to the number and copy it into your sig. Consider it a social experiment.

They are both great power supplies either one would work.

All XFX power supplies are seasonic and FSP isn't so widely known because they do mostly rebrands like fractal design power supples

Whichever looks better? Why do you want a 1000w psu? What are you planning on powering?

Just double checking but you do know you barely ever need 1000 watts.

oh, forgot to mention, I will use 2 GTX 770s or GTX 780s in the future, that's why I want 1000watts. Also I will overclock my cpu and want to have little free room too.

Why 1000w??

Also, might want to check out Corsair or Seasonic if you can. Other then that, I would say XFX

First, that is one aggressive looking PSU.

Second, I would go for XFX.

Two 780's do not need 1000 watts, 750 watts on the low end, and 900 watts on the high end.

And in a best case scenario, a 900 watt PSU would only deliver about 850-875 watts. And then you have to factor in that as the PSU ages, it will produce less power (small amount as it may be, it can make a difference as I found out).

Wouldn't that be sort of ironic since none of your PC's use Nvidia graphics cards.

My old rig used to have a GeForce4 MX 4000 AGP, and my Even Older rig used to have a RIVA TNT2 in it, but the RIVA overheated and the X1650 Pro blows away my old GeForce.
