I sorta just put this together based on a $1300 budget and my little knowledge on purchasing PC parts. If you would change any parts or recommend any would help.

[PC Specs] Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5, CPU: i5 4690K @ 4.4 GHz, Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 PLUS, GPU: R9 270X CF, RAM: 8 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz, Storage: 2TB WD Black, PSU: Corsair HX850i, OS: Win 7

Safe on the PSU and the RAM and get yourself a better GPU or the new generation of CPU's.

... what are you on about?

There is no incompatibility here, just the slightly higher voltage RAM.

Dual gpu's. No need, a 770 can handle any modern game just fine, yes it's not as powerful, but it's not a dual GPU set up

Forgot about the case BTW, and why not dual 7950s? You never know when someone will decide that they want 2+ monitors, and as games become more advanced, the graphical power of a single GTX 770 will become lesser. I know Crossfire has it's quirks, but it is much better than it used to be.

The PSU is still way to ridiculous, 600-800W is more then enough.

The PSU is still extremely overkill. Also, you probably aren't going to need the antistatic strap.

Okay I just had the antistatic strap because if I decide to get this it will be my first time building a PC and I don't want any mishaps.

Also are those specs worth the upgrade from these:

Mainly gaming. My steam ID is Evernbro if you need to look at my games to judge for parts. I also plan on playing BF4.
