What is about the iPhone 7 winning the Galaxy S7 in the water depth test?

ImJustChew

I saw this video on YouTube showing the Galaxy S7 lost iPhone 7 in the water test:

I thought iPhone had a rating of 7 when the Galaxy S7 had a rating of 8. Is this test false?

Devices can handle above their ratings.

Just because something says it can hangdle 1m underwater doesn't mean it can't hangle 30m.

The iphone may have been better than average.

When pushed to the limit, the individual performance will vary from device to device. Everyone in a reasonable good physical state could run 100m in less than 1 min, but only a few people in the world could do it under 10 seconds. As like in OCing, some chips will perform better than others.
