Client is not giving me cpu workloads

Go to solution Solved by tobben,

Depends on what gpu's you have and

how many.

The -1 default setting is abit of a funny

thing. Uneven numbers don't get any
work units. But assuming most people
have one gpu, the client will by default
use an uneven number, making you

non-eligible for most work.

They should probably fix that.. at any rate!

Since you have a hyperthreaded i7 with

8 threads, and probably between 1-2

gpu's, i would set it to 6 threads.

The folding at home client is not giving me cpu workloads the gpu workloads are fine but there are none for the cpu. Anyone know how to fix it?

Is the thread count set to an even
number? I am not sure if this is still
the case, but at some point they
seem to have locked out uneven
numbers from wu's server side.

(I just tried, didn't get any work with 5

threads, immediately got work with 6)
