I've been looking for a good game that meets some specific criteria, in order of importance to me:

  1. Must be able to be played for days, weeks, or months on end. Maybe even an entire semester.
  2. Must be relatively simple or straightforward to learn.
  3. Must be easily "saveable"
  4. It must look enticing/good.
  5. Must not be too "vague" (In other words, Fallout is OK but No Man's Sky is not, for example)
  6. Must not be a AAA FPS Online game... (obviously)

I like all types of games, I'm open to any suggestions and will research them all. So, suggestions anyone?

i have been playing From the Depths and i have been loving it. Its $20 on Steam. I have been playing it for 6 months and i still live it because of its multiple gameplay options. when i get sick of the campaign for example. i go to the vehicle designer, adventure mode, or do a campaign on a different planet.

I just picked up Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor  GOTY Edition for $7 on Steam.  Seems pretty good so far.  The reviews are great and the graphics are impressive.  With all the DLC included it should keep you occupied for quite some time.  And you can't beat the price right now.

Rim world looks fun, but I've played way too much prison architect to get past it. Witcher 3 wins.
