Steam pre-download

Ok so i was wondering can i pre download a steam game before its released.

 

For example i if i pre order assassins creed would i be able to download it a couple of days befor release and be able to play it release minuet.

You usually can, every time I've preordered a game I was able to pre-load it a few days before release.

For big titles you usually can (CoD, Saints Row etc), so you'll most likely be able to pre-load Assassins Creed.

ok crap coz australian internet sucks so it will take a few hours to download

you can techanlly download it earlier if it releses ealier in another part of the world just use a vpn , but i wouldnt know anything about that becuase it goes against the terms and cond.

yea steam lets u pre-download games =D not sure if its all games or not

for example gta 5 tbh i dont know of any others

I don't know if there is a set amount of days where you will be available to pre-load before the release but usually 2-3 days is given to download the game before it's released.

i feel you.... i had to download BF3 for 3-4 days during free times.

Afaik, most games can be pre-loaded, but will still need a small download on launch to make it playable. I've only ever done it with Portal 2 though, and a few friends have done it with Borderlands 2, so I'm assuming it works for most games.
