TN is such a horrible experience that I would not recommend it to ANYONE - even my worst enemy. IPS is the only choice here

I have an IPS panel and i am SO SO SO SO SO happy with it :) Its just TN panels seem to be a little more advanced in the moment when it comes to other than image quality specs. Like latency, refresh rate etc

ips and 144hz, what more can you ask for

Yeah i know, its just the small latency difference and some small things. DONT FORGET FREESYNC though :P

And i sold my LG 34UM57-P because i didnt quite like the Ultrawide.

My first choice was the IPS its just i wanted to ask before buying, the IPS is also 100$ cheaper than the benq what is kinda weird :D

Still look shit though

And latency - never look into these numbers, they can be misrepresented so easily and for 99% of things unnoticeable

yeah i heard that even the 1ms latency monitors have like 3-4ms latency in real life, and when combined with Freesync maybe even more.

Thats what i am struggling with right now. I am playing a LOT of competetive FPS games and i have heard that freesync increases the latency on the monitor which especialy when it comes to ms and the quickest reactions possible is worse than having normal 144hz monitor and just having 300 fps (cs go talk now). Can anyone relate?

Latency is not even a factor - my desktop is 5ms, my laptops are 45ms - there is absolutely no noticeable diffeence

You can turn freesync off for your competitive games

Most screen latency is not measure correctly, read about it on TFT central - they often dont take into account signal processing and input lag etc

some 2ms displays could have like 10ms of display latency in total, not just pixel response time

Okey, does it even make sense though to buy a monitor with freesync? I mean wouldnt i be better of without it?

And no i dont only play competitive FPS, DA inquisition, witcher 3, dark souls 3 etc are also some of my favourites right now ;)

Freesync is great when running AAA games that are very demanding, since if your framerate dops or isnt consistent it keeps it looking smooth without tearing or jitters
