my lan is a mixture of gigabit and 100Mbps for the crap that cant even max that out anyways

 

a friend of mine wants to go 10gig, but it's just not worth the price.

Yah, if I didn't have access to such awesome hardware then I would be on all 100meg/1gig as well

I quite like my cable modem/router/wifi access point combo, it's fast and stable so I can't complain.

my ISP has some amazing combo boxes. at first i disliked them, but after talking to someone on their dev team i met randomly (i actually started talking to the guy when i encountered him on an open school day, and i only picked up the convo because he was well... as tall as me sitting down student-style on a chair )

 

they basicly try to find a balance between a device grandma can use, and a device techy grandson isnt infuriated by.
