Upgrade Time!

Hey guys! i just collected approximately 1500$-2000$!i got them in these two festivals known as diwali and dushera!and i will probably get more in the upcoming festivals and stuff!

(since you know how religious and superstitious our grandparents and those village people are!) 

so........... it's upgrade time!!!

 

#1-an ssd!

#2-silent yet cool yet L.E.D(blue) fans!

#3-a cpu cooler!

#4-mouse and mousepad!

#5-a good mechanical keyboard!

#6-a 7.1 channel headset!(unless that matters)

#7-a decent sound card!

#8-L.E.D strips! (blue colour)

(if all that stuff fits in that budget!)

and if some of the money is by chance left out,then i will probably end with buying some games and stuff!

 

please help me buying the parts!

With that budget, you'd want to build a whole new computer. Any upgrades you do to that would be pointless in my opinion.

What are you currently using for a PC. If you are using what is in your signature you should probably just build a new PC.

Why do you want a server build? If you want to build a computer for gaming then just build a normal tower... will get you the most bang for your buck.

i wanted a server also,so i thought i could just directly make a server for web hosting,email server or game server for a game kind of things. or else i would just go for backup and storage of multimedia like songs,videos etc!

Please tell us what you are currently using and then we maybe able to help you... Spending 2k on a server because you want a server is just ridiculous.

Why not go all out on liquid cooling? you will see better temps. or build a new computer and use the old one as a server. also if you are a muslim Eid Mubarak

thank you for for telling Eid Mubarak but i'm not a muslim! are you one? and..... i don't know how to do that custom loop and things,so if i will go with watercooling,then maybe those corsairs and nzxts and stuff like that!

Question 1: Will you be upgrading your monitor with this build? Or are you building this to play on a monitor / tv ;) that you already have?

 

Question 2 : What resolution are you playing at / want to play at?

 

Question 3: Also what games do you play the most / want to play.

 

Answer these questions and people can prob help you make good choices in terms of optimizing your money.

1. samsung 840 pro/ intel ssds/ real life performance difference is unoticeable

2.if its already available, the corsair af fans with led

3.closed loop water cooler? tower cooler?

4.just dont get wireless mouse, save yourself from the hassle,

5.something from ducky or filco, gre built quality, though you may want to try the different switches first before making a purchase, i would recommend mx brown switches

6.no idea, i use speakers

7.no idea too, im on mitx so i only have 1 epansion slot, i use a dap though

8.i think nzxt has some of that stuffs, i wouldnt recommend these thoug unless you want a christmas tree pc,

What part of India are you from? 

 

1. Samsung 840 Pro or Samsung Evo 

2. hmmm I dunno about the LED part.

3. Liquid? (H100i. H110, Swiftech H220) Heatsink?(Evo)

4.  The mouse I would ask what kind of games do you intend to play? MMO? FPS? 

5. Which cherry switch do you prefer? If blues then I would suggest the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 edition

6. Dont get 7.1 ch headphones. Linus has made it clear that its not really effective. I would stick to a good set of 2 channel headphones. 

7. Soundblaster Z

8. The blue LEDs on the fans with blue lighting strips? It seems like a lot of blue! Im not sure about the strips

Q1-yes i would,i will buy a benQ 24" XL2420t . if it's good.

Q2-1080p

Q3-action( something like cod,bf,etc.)
