EK Question

This is a question that I would like for only 2 people to answer and I will tag them in this. @EK Luc or @EK_Derick I have ordered a kit from your online store. I just received an email asking for a photo of the front of my Credit Card as well as photo of my ID or passport. The email was sent with a signature from Peter. Just want to verify this is legit before I do it.

Sorry but if you have to question sending a photo of your ID and Credit card.. you shouldn't be buying items online.

That is identity theft 101.

And this is why I only wanted responses from the 2 people I tagged in the post since they are industry affiliates on the forums that work at EK and can confirm if this is true or not.

Yes but what the person above is saying... your sending your details unencrypted over the web just so somebody can check it? Not to mention you have 0 control over what happens to the attachments on the other side (are they kept/securely deleted).

Then send them personal messages instead of a public forum

Seems ultra shady though, and if that were a"standard practice" I would never buy from them. I highly doubt that is the case though.

Yea that's a huge scam dude. If they need to confirm information usually it can be done via other methods. Sending information like that is highly risky.

I'm a bit surprised about that.

Send me a PM with your order number and also write me the email address from who you received that.
