Presto Bango, Mr. Smith's Dick might have one for you! (Sorry, I never can resist this joke when looking on their website. :D)

Hey Forums,

I have an Acer 5742g laptop and i am trying to use the hdmi, vga and built in screen all at once but can't. I know its an old laptop and the graphics might not be able to do this but is there any way i can do it?

Chances are the laptop doesn't support using BOTH the HDMI and VGA ports at the same time.

You could buy an external USB to VGA/DVI/HDMI graphics card if you just need an extra monitor for reading or office work.

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, RTX2060) Mobile: OnePlus 5T | Koodo - 75GB Data + Data Rollover for $45/month
Laptop: Dell XPS 15 9560 (the real 15" MacBook Pro that Apple didn't make) Tablet: iPad Mini 5 | Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 10.1
Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 | Panasonic TS20D Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

I think your graphic card doesn't support more then 2 monitors, the older generation of mobile GPUs don't support 3 monitors

You can also try USB monitor. Something like AOC e1659Fwu (16-inch) or AOC e1759Fwu (17-inch).

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/aoc-e1659fwu-156-1366-x-768-8ms-usb3-powered-portable-led-monitor-ab53368

I have 16-inch model for 3 years now and it is really usefull! You can use it wherever you want, as long as your laptop battery is charged.
