My PC Does Not Recognize My Phone!

AncuL

Disclaimer: I don't know where to put this. But because I think that this is related to the OS, I think i will put it here. Feel free to move this anywhere appropriate anyways

So, as you've seen from the title, my PC is unable to recognize my android phone. Actually, my PC recognized it as it can be seen on the "device manager". but, it has the /!\ icon and is not visible on file explorer. I followed some tutorials like in here which the last step is a dead-end for me. It shows this instead of a success.

I really need help on whether this can be fixed or just from OS side because I am planning to downgrade it to Windows 7 after adding more RAM to it. Though if it is not OS-side then I will postpone the downgrade

Oh, my phone is Xiaomi Redmi 3. I've tested it on my friend's PC so I don't think it's phone-side. Feel free to ask me questions about things related to me because I am the one needing it haha

It was a joke, in reference to your title "my pc does not recognise my phone" - yes it was lame, I am now coming up on 22 hours awake though, so thought it was funny.

Expanding on to what paddy said: I have a OnePlus 2 and for me it will not show up as an accessible drive under windows until I go into the settings and enable using USB as a file transfer instead of just charging. (In the drop-down menu as well). I used to have an HTC as well that needed to remain unlocked in order to be used for file transfers, but I feel like you've tried that
