Help choosing SSD, evo 850 or other????

avenue2day

Hi,

I'm recently trying to upgrade my pc from HDD to SDD. I want to upgrade an SSD with capacity of 480 to 500GB+.

I have read a lot of review online that samsung evo 850 512GB is one of the best SDD out there in term of performance-budget ratio.

But the truth I am not a very demanding user. I would only use my SSD mostly for gaming and running a few office applications.

I want to know if the SS evo 850 is the best option or can I consider other SSD brand like the Sandisk Ultra 2 480GB or Crucial MX300 500GB+.

Thanks.

850 EVO will be a moderate choice. You know, Intel 730 or Samsung 850 PRO is an over-spec for entry users just like you.

MX300 is a 3D NAND-applied SSD just like 850 EVO, however it released just a few weeks ago.

If you are a SanDisk fan, it would be a better choice to purchase Extreme Pro rather than Ultra 2.

I understand Extreme Pro is not really a entry-user-targeted product, but I personally think other products of SanDisk are not so good.
