AMD APU Rumors

Not sure if true, but at my school, a couple of friends (PC builders) were talking about how AMD will have new APUs which have r9 or even RX graphics. I won't believe them but still. If this is true it would be awesome

We might get some next year when Zen APUs come out. Chances are that maybe the Raven Ridge APUs will have something like P11 integrated on-die.

Considering the size of the RX 460 at 123mm2 (smaller than dram chips on the card) I'd say expect a quad core APU with an RX 460 like performance sometime next year. And the die on the RX 460 could be even smaller because it has 2 CUs disabled still sitting on the die doing nothing. The die could probably be another 10mm2 smaller.

 

That'd be amazing for a laptop or even a desktop. Wanna play Overwatch , COD or Dota 2? APU, bam, done.
