So, me and my friend got into an argument and we want to know what you think. For $200 would you rather have the LG 29um68 or 2 $100 monitors? Thanks. Also mods feel free to move to displays if you want.

no, but it is 29 inch, so you can still see all of it.

I currently have a dual (2) monitor setup and I can't stand having just 2, because I tend to multi-task a lot

Dual monitors are just annoying and a lot of games/applications just don't get along with them. I'd rather have one super good monitor.

Besides. the only people who benefit from dual monitors are streamers or people who do hardcore video editing.

honestly one ultrawide screen over 2 monitors. you only have to deal with one monitor, there won't be as many screen conflicts for applications and stuff, and overall it's cheaper really.

I would prefer a single ultrawide if i had to choose between the 2 options.

Yet still, i'm biased to choose an actual TV panel as a display, as i've been doing for the last 3 or 4 years.

Although I voted for the LG 29", I'd really stretch the budget and go for the LG 34" monitor instead, since it's closer to having 2 x 22"-24" monitors side by side anyway.

but really who cares? it's still 1080p. and it's still 60hz. so it shouldn't be THAT bad.

But they can work as such.

I can't complain much about my old 42' plasma display that i use on a daily basis, it's actually very good, sometimes it has a little bit of ghosting on darker backgrounds and such, nothing too significant.

That said , i need to upgrade here, i was actually thinking about getting a 34' ultrawide, but i think i'll be better out with a 4k 43' Panasonic Viera that i'm itching for months to buy, maybe in december i can afford it.

Some would say it's "terrible". i like using a large TV for the console couch feel with the PC power behind it.

I'm all for TV's as monitors but not everyone feels that way.

honestly i use my pc as a video streamer to my tv because it's much better watching a long movie or youtube video on a big tv rather than on a pc screen.

Maybe you guys have seen my setup, i posted it here sometimes, its built around a single giant wooden desk with the TV attached to the wall, hi-fi equipment on one side, PS3 on the other, PC on the floor, etc...

For me it's just the perfect setup, i have to refine a little bit, add another cabinet for the hi-fi (which was a last minute idea), install some new outlets, get a new panel...

It's mostly my Blu-Ray and DSD Disc player, hehe.

It has some nice titles to play on a saturday night.
