Difference between ASUS STRIX 1080s

Hi, does anyone know what's the difference between ASUS' STRIX lineup's differences?

We have available:
The Standard STRIX
STRIX Advanced Gaming

OC Edition

Also which one should I choose? There's 50 euro difference between the standard STRIX and OC Edition.

no idea what to put here

Exact same cooler, and people are reporting that they're hitting 2060Mhz with the Standard edition without touching voltages.

normal strix is Loud, Strix OC is louder.

Don't get a Strix.

Save 100 bucks and get a Palit Gamerock, which has a much better Cooler (it's alittle over half as loud... Strix is 87% louder)

Or get EVGA SC/FTW, or MSI Gaming, if you care about 3 Years warranty.

Most 1080s can get that high really. Overclocking doesn't scale as well on Pascal as it did with previous architectures though so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

For me it's just 20 euros cheaper, not 100. I live in a forgotten country where everything is expensive.

oh >.< Damn.

Well yea. Depending on model, you might tweak the Fan settings a bit in Afterburner to have it quiet ^^ Depending on how much of a "Silent Freak" you are :x

Palit is way better than any Asus card. If it's cheaper, get it instead, Asus is one of the worst options.

I'm such a silent freak that I refuse buying liquid cooling because I can hear the pump. I don't mind noise when gaming because then I usually have headphones on. But when surfing web, I don't want to hear ANY noise. That's why I'm opting for a 0db mode air cooler cards.

Not quite, nearly. They can stop their fans, but as far as I know pumps cannot be stopped on EVGA's Hybrid cards.

Yup, won't have issues there. Almost every custom Cooler has their fans turned OFF below 50-60 °C.

I was purely talking about Load noise (even then i like it silent xD)

btw... your Avater is hypnotizing.

Why thank you, I tweaked the original gif I found, sharpened the edges, removed alfa layer and added text that says "REKT".

But yeah, as I said, I don't really mind load noise as long as it's not too intrusive. But like right now the only fans spinning in my system right now are Noctua's NH-D15 cpu cooler fans at low RPM.
