Battle of the uglies: Cit Mars vs HEC cougar

brownninja97

This is a contest to see which case you are willing to buy if these where the only two cases that you could buy, there are no other options, choose one, choose wisely. (what do you think about this, i might turn it into a weekly thing) Due to matsy trying to be clever if you dont get one of the cases you will die to death by death, you are welcome to come up with a reason why.

On the left side enter the

Cit mars, at one point we have all seen this case, some have vomit, some have died, some even surivived. Boasting a red led fan and LCD display. There are also some more features, like the interior non painted interior, the lack of a cpu cut out, an IO motherboard shield socket which is never the correct side. Sadly the psu is top mounted which seems like a small price to pay for this monster of a case. Did i mention that it has a glossy finish with a free finger print attractive spray. Now your finger prints will stay for ever.

On the other side comes the HEC compucase cougar. There is the bold style and then there is this, do you want to stick out from the crowd, if you do then you know what to get. This monster comes boasting a 300mm space for that vga or even 330mm if you take the 5.25 drive bays out. You know what that means, it can house everything, why have two pipe cut outs when you can have three because the thrid pipe doesnt ever come back. You know you I like fans, what comes with this, a 120mm orange fan, what do you get for sacrificing the appearance. NOTHING, dont you just just that, keeping it simple. Also with the state of the art anti power button technology your dogs, cats and pet humans will not be able to accidental press the power button. It also comes with the fancy new usb 3.0, linus is getting happy especially when they are pass through cables which hope that your motherboard io has usb 3.0 on it.

You have to choose a case or you die, just because you do

I'll pick the first one then, and put it in a cupboard with a lock on, so no one can ever see my shame.

If I had to choose, I'd go with the Cougar. Their products are decent enough. The other case looks like every generic gamer case ever since the mid 2000's...talk about transformer wannabe unoriginality.

I'd take a Lian Li over both of them, though.

A new challenger appears

lian-li-pc-888-small.jpg

I would probably pick the mars and have the left side of my case against a wall or something.

Shame Lian Li doesn't do blue that often...their blue looks so much better on aluminium vs gaudy plastic. Also wish they brought back their red cases.
