Hey I want to build a gaming pc for me my wife and son. I am trying to keep it around $1500 US. As of right now I have everything but case monitor power keyboard and mouse. I am thinking about going cheap on the case keyboard and mouse for now then updating later. I know case power supplies are not all that great but is there one out there that till fit and handle these items?

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 AMP! Edition, ZT-P10700C-10P
$439.99

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
$29.99

Intel Boxed Core I7-6700K
$319.99

HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM Desktop Memory (HX421C14FBK2/16)
$78.99

ASUS Z170-A ATX DDR4 Motherboard
$134.99

Kingston Digital 120GB UV400 SSD C2C 2.5" SUV400S37/120G
$39.99

WD Blue 3TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD30EZRZ
$89.99

Total price: $1133.93

I started with the graphics card and build around that. Is this good or should I change a few things?

Thank you to everyone that response and helps me out.

***UPDATE***

This what I have as of now any suggestions or ideas let me know. I took off the SSD cause I really don't feel like I need that right now.

Thank you to everyone that response and helps me out. Also what would be a good monitor to go with this? Maybe HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch IPS LED HDMI VGA Monitor
$99.99

for power supply i really like corsairs rm series.  there generally really cheap and are extremely reliable.  if your looking for just a regular monitor then thats fine but if you want a gaming monitor i would suggest the asus vg248qe.  other wise the build looks goods maybe just swap out the ssd for a 256 instead

Current Rig=  AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, Asus Crosshair Hero VIII, EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 ultra, 32gb Corsair Vengence Pro RGB 3000hz White, EVGA 750 P2 PSU, 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, 500gb samsung 860 evo, 250GB Samsung 850 evo, 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus, 2TB seagate firecuda sshd,  LianLi PC 011 Dynamic XL ROG edition, Corsair h150i elite capelix

For the PSU something with 500 watts is more than enough and in terms of brand/models then anything from seasonic/XFX (but XT), EVGA G2/GS/P2/T2, corsair RMi/RMx/HXi/AX/AXi are all fine (yes I missed out bronze rated PSUs but come on, 6700k and 1070 even on a seasonic bronze PSU feels a tad unbalanced :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Hey there CrazehFreak :) Welcome to the community!

The build looks very good and well planned. It should suffice for a good gaming rig.

I would say the CPU and the memory amount are a bit overkill for a regular gaming build but it never hurts to have more power than needed.

What games and what settings are you after?

Regarding the storage I would suggest to leave the SSD in the plan as it makes huge difference in terms of simple responsiveness, overall performance, and loading/boot times. If you plan on adding one later on have in mind that migrating/cloning the OS from a HDD to a SSD isn't really recommended and you would need to reinstall it along with all games and applications due to the new system registry.

Let me know if you need any help. :)

Since you have a lot of data I would strongly recommend to consider a backup solution for it as if something happens to your drive you would lose a huge amount of data. Having a second drive or an external drive for backups is a good thing as recovering data from a failed drive down the road isn't something you want to go through and can cost you both a lot of funds and a lot of lost data.

Let me know if you want
