What's the best way to transfer the OS to another drive?

I have a spare PC with a 500GB Caviar Blue and a 1TB laptop drive that I didn't use. The OS + ~200GB of data is on the Blue right now and I want to transfer everything to the laptop drive so I can boot from it, format the Blue and use it in my own system. What's the best way to do this?

Soim assuming u dont have the disc?Theres a kit u can get to do that or flash drive.

I used Acronis True Image to clone my HDD to my SSD. You have to pay for it, but there are other ways of obtaining it.

install a linux distro on a flash drive and copy all the windows files

or use a other live disk/usb os for it thats the only good way.

 

i used a live usb but i don't remember the name of the os
