So, I'm rather perplexed here. I've been trying to play BF4 beta for a while and I've been contemplating why every minute or so for a 10 second increment my frame rate will just drop to an unplayable level most often causing me to die. This continues after a driver update and I've been checking hardware monitoring software often to try to figure out why. Here are my system specs:

AMD FX-8150 CPU OC'd to 4.2GHz

Zotac Nvidia GTX 670

ASUS crosshair V formula

G skill 1333MHz 16GB memory

raidmax 850w PSU

As for my troubleshooting personally, I've noticed some pretty stable results. The game averages about 60% CPU load never maxing any of the individual core loads. System temps are all pretty stable @ 50c on the CPU. Memory uses about 40% of full capacity at any given time. And as for the GPU the GPU load averages about 70%, VRAM uses around 1500/2000MB, and the TDP is never maxed nor is the memory controller and with a 850w PSU it's doubtful that it would be power starved. However one thing I've noticed is that when it does eat my frame rate I've noticed instead of maxing out my GPU load causing frame drop that my GPU load will actually flatten to about 8% usage. I'm wondering if this is fully game wise problems? Other people in my games have said they have no performance issues whatsoever. I could use some additional insight as it would be greatly appreciated.

Let me know if you've noticed similar issues on your client.

Are you on Windows 7 or 8,because I've heard people say there are issues with occasional stuttering in Windows 7 which do not occur in Windows 8.

Also the game is in beta,so you should expect all kinds of weird problems

This "Beta" is 2 weeks away from launch. I think at least basic graphical optimization should probably be done by a long time ago.

in that case: EA

Win 8 fixed it all for me, had terrible lag and frame stuttering, i could barely play on medium/low. Now everything runs butter smooth ultra 70-100 fps! Upgrading was absolutely seamless i didnt have to reinstall anything, and classic shell gave me back my start button/boot to desktop. On top of all that it was "free", wink wink... :D

Also in game command console u can type in perfoverlay.drawgraph 1 to see what the issue is on win 7 my cpu was off the charts, now its extremely stable.

Of course because they are the same people who say they are running "GTX Titans in 6 way SLI and 2x 4770K cpu's" lol

Not true.

I'm running just fine with a 3570 stock and a 560.  Mostly HIGH with a few ULTRA settings

and many others are also.

It's Beta, there's going to be issues with decent systems having problems while others don't

until they iron out the hardware//OS/drivers combinations issues.

I wrote that slightly sarcastically, I played BF4 today and I noticed they've actually fixed a lot of the issues I was having with the game, now it's actually playable, good fps and no micro stuttering at all.
