So I moved to a new apartment and won't be able to use any Ethernet cables but we do have 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi which has good signal. The speed is kinda shitty at 20Mbps down and 2Mbps up but I can deal with that.

I've only used wireless with my laptop and smartphone so I don't know of any good wireless network cards for desktops so let me know what you guys have had experiences with.

I have a

TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 N900

and would suggest it but in the last two months ive been having issues with it, Ive reinstalled windows twice, tried 10 and 7 with no avail. Having said that my ethernet is encountering issues so It might not be the wireless that is messing up.

Anyway I think im getting somewhere on fixing it, im using an old Hard drive which I used to use on this computer and it hasnt broken yet. Will try and update you if it doesnt break by the end of the week

It works in Windows 10 as my mom is using that card in a Windows 10 machine. Its just that, you use Microsoft drivers rather than TP Link. I have had some issues with this card in the past, reinstalling the drivers works. Other than that its a pretty good card, but its wireless N rather than AC.

Wireless N is fine as I only have 20Mbps down and 2Mbps up here.

Yeah, but if you ever wanted to transfer stuff across the network, AC comes in handy.
